Believe it or not, market research follows the same general methodology and is conducted with the same rigor.
Just like your technical area has its own special lingo and organizing frameworks, market research and business planning does too. One of the most widely used and accepted frameworks for entrepreneurs is the Business Model Canvas.
This session will introduce you to one of the key concepts of the Canvas– creating the value proposition hypothesis, defining customer segments and then designing measurable, replicable tests for your customer theory.

Deirdre Sartorelli,Director, Angle Center for Entrepreneurship, Endicott College
Deirdre Sartorellli has directed the Angle Center for Entrepreneurship at Endicott for 2 years. She has been an Adjunct Professor at Endicott in the Business School since 2011. Her current focus on helping new entrepreneurs launching new markets or re-thinking old onesthink about all the effort that entails. Her deep career in high-tech sales has been a great proving ground and held her accountable for several hundred million dollars of revenue and very large teams. She holds an MBA and Ph.D. in Business Administration and is currently enrolled in an Innovation and Entrepreneurship program at Standford University.
