Tom Kinneman has proven (again) what he’s made of…100% iron.
On Sunday, November 3, Tom won first place at Ironman Florida in his age group of 64 triathletes, finishing in 10:40:27 (impressive stats: 1:12 for the swim; 5:28 on the bike; 3:46 for the run).
This achievement is made even more spectacular by the fact that this win qualifies Tom for a long-held dream of competing in the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, in October 2014— the ultimate win! Only 50 triathletes qualify for this highly coveted competition. We know where Tom will be (vacationing) next October.
Acknowledging that no race is won alone, Tom thanks so many people who were instrumental in supporting his grueling training over the past year –his family, coaches, training buddies, and teammates.
Congratulations, Tom! You’re a champ!
