CrowdComfort
CrowdComfort started as a simple idea, pitched at the 2013 Boston Cleanweb Hackathon: what if people could use their smartphones to unlock efficiencies in building and workplace management?
Since these humble beginnings, CrowdComfort has come a long way. With the help of Boston’s wonderful cleantech community, it launched the world’s first Human Sensor Network™ platform and are fundamentally changing the way things are done in facilities & office management, inspection & compliance, and more.
Based in Boston, CrowdComfort crowdsources occupant and building information to improve efficiency and service levels for a wide range of facility management functions. With its SaaS-based communication platform, building and facility occupants can file geo-located reports with photo evidence on comfort, maintenance, and safety issues in a matter of seconds. Their application streamlines incident reporting, preventative maintenance checklists and analytical reporting, saving facility management teams time and money.
Some interesting facts:
Eric Graham, CEO, was one of the founders of North Shore InnoVentures and its first COO.
CrowdComfort has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Tech Trends issue of FMJ, an IFMA sponsored publication, the BBJ, Entrepreneur Magazine and many, many more. You can read all their stories here.
One of Eric’s favorite quotes is “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” (Ferris Bueller). It’s an apt quote for a company that marries innovation with well-established building management systems.
