NSIV member, New England Hydropower, has a lot to celebrate. The official ribbon cutting was held May 24, 2017 for its first in the U.S. hydroelectric project using the ancient technology of an Archimedes screw. Flowing water powers a turbine that will generate 900,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity for Meriden, CT. State and local officials lauded the potential for this type of green energy project.
